India Post GDS photo and signature size

The latest GDS online engagement notification asks for a JPG photo of 30–100 KB (320 × 400 px recommended, light background) and a JPG signature of 20–100 KB (300 × 120 px recommended).

    0 = keep in proportion
    0 = keep in proportion
    0 = no limit
    0 = leave as is; PAN forms ask for 200

    Sizes change between notifications. Always check the latest official notification before you upload.

    Old limits no longer apply

    Older GDS portals asked for a photo under 50 KB and signature under 20 KB. The new portal needs at least 30 KB and 20 KB — small files are padded automatically here to reach the minimum.

    Questions

    Can I use a selfie?

    No — the notification asks for a proper photo, not a scanned photo or selfie.
