Assemble your project report with page numbers

Upload your front pages and chapter files in order. You get one PDF with i, ii, iii on the front pages, 1, 2, 3 from Chapter 1, a table of contents with the right page numbers, and clickable bookmarks.

Front pages = title, certificate, declaration, acknowledgement, abstract. They get i, ii, iii. Put the files in order before uploading.

Free, no sign-up. Your files are deleted automatically after 24 hours. Create a free account for more tools and a file library.

    How to use it

    1. Name files in order, e.g. “00 Front pages.pdf”, “01 Chapter 1 Introduction.docx”, “02 Chapter 2 Literature Survey.docx”.
    2. Choose them all and say how many of them are front pages.
    3. Press the button and download the finished report.

    Why Word makes this hard

Roman numbers on the front pages and 1, 2, 3 from Chapter 1 need section breaks in Word, which break easily when several people edit the report. Keeping each chapter as its own file and joining them here avoids that.

    The contents page

Chapter names come from your file names (the “01 ” ordering prefix is removed), and the page numbers are worked out for you. If you already have a contents page, untick the option.

    Questions

    Can I upload Word files?

Yes — .docx, .doc, .odt and PDF. Word files are converted to PDF first.

    Is the title page numbered?

It is counted as page i but no number is printed on it, as most universities ask. You can change that.
