How to convert a PDF to JPG for an upload form

Updated 6 October 2026

Your certificate is a PDF, but the form says “upload JPG, max 200 KB”. Convert each page to an image, then bring it under the size limit.

Choose the right quality

150 DPI is sharp enough to read on screen and keeps files small. Use 200–300 DPI only if the form asks for it or the page has very small print.

Fitting the KB limit

A full A4 page at 150 DPI is usually 150–400 KB as JPG. If the limit is smaller, open the photo resizer, set the maximum KB and keep the width around 1000–1200 pixels so the text stays readable.

Step by step

  1. Open PDF to JPG and choose your PDF.
  2. Download the JPG of the page you need.
  3. If it is over the limit, open “Resize photo or signature” and set the maximum KB.
  4. Upload the JPG in the form.
